Position Summary:
The Account Executive is responsible for growing the number of accounts and increasing revenue within the categories of office supplies, furniture, promotional items, and janitorial products. This role requires the candidate to be in the field more than 50% of the time, actively seeking out and developing new business opportunities in the Jacksonville market. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, self-sufficient and possesses a hunter mentality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Identify and target potential clients in need of office supplies, furniture, promotional items, and janitorial products.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Approach potential clients with a hunter mentality, always seeking new business opportunities.
- Sales Growth:
- Achieve and exceed sales targets by generating new business and growing existing accounts.
- Conduct thorough needs analysis to understand client requirements and tailor solutions to meet their needs.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Conduct regular follow-ups and reviews to ensure client needs are met and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
- Field Work:
- Spend more than 50% of the time in the field meeting with potential and existing clients.
- Present and demonstrate products and services to clients through face-to-face meetings.
- Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue growth.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and challenges.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and opportunities in the CRM system.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the office supplies, furniture, promotional items, or janitorial products sectors.
- Strong understanding of the sales process and techniques, with the ability to close deals and meet or exceed targets.
- Self-sufficient and self-motivated, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and drive results.
- Hunter mentality with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Highly motivated and self-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a sales role.
